Short answer: “Fakes” are profiles pretending to be someone else or pushing you to paid/third-party sites. They often send spam on POP or via email.
Typical signs
- 📤 Asking for personal contacts, money, or private photos.
- 🔗 Urging you to move to other sites/apps.
- 🎭 Inconsistent details or suspicious, over-edited images.
What to do
- 🚩 Report: profile → ⋮ → Report profile (or in chat: Report conversation).
- 🛑 Block/ignore the user.
- 🔒 Keep chats on POP; don’t click unknown links or share personal info.
